Jill, CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician
Jill is our head technician, chief ordering officer and general know-it-all. She grew up in Durango on the banks of the Animas River. She began working at BBVC in 1994, a short six months after the clinic opened.
Jill enjoys canine agility, hiking, recreating at Lake Powell and about anything outdoors. She has A BUNCH of border collies. Too many to name, really.
And as if she doesn't have enough, she also fosters for Western Border Collie Rescue.
Becky, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Becky joined BBVC as a registered veterinary technician (RVT) in 2020 and brought with her 20+ years of experience in the field. Becky moved to the Durango area from Northern California where she was working as a vet tech.
Shortly after moving here, she took a hiatus from the vet world, obtained an accounting degree and worked at Easy Care Inc. After spending 7 years behind a desk, she decided it just wasn't the right fit and came running back to play with the puppies and kittens.
She's known for her exceptional organizational skills, and if she's left alone for the day, she will reorganize every cabinet space in the clinic. Becky enjoys all things outdoors, and is a very talented self-taught crochet artist. Becky lives with her dog Indy, and cats, Bruce, Campbell, and Archi.
Hannah
Veterinary Assistant
Hannah is a veterinary assistant and is currently attending Penn Foster College to become a licensed technician. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Colorado College in 2014.
Hannah is in love with the mountains and spent several years as a mountain guide before returning to school. Hannah lives with her husband Chris, three dogs Porg, Artoo, and Mando and 8 chickens.
She is an avid rookie musher and guides sled dog tours with the Durango Dog Ranch on her days off. In her free time, she's usually trying to train her high-drive herding dogs to be upstanding citizens or dreaming about running the Iditarod someday.
Izzy
Veterinary Assistant
Izzy is a veterinary assistant attending San Juan College to become a veterinary technician.
She is a Durango native and an avid artist. She enjoys hiking and spending time at the lakes with her dog Freddie, which has inspired many art pieces.
Jamie
Receptionist / Office Manager
Jamie is a South West Colorado native. In the summer you'll find her on the river or in the mountains with her adventure pup Kenai. In the winter, skiing any snow that the season surprises us with.
