About Us
Baker's Bridge Veterinary Clinic has been locally owned since 1992 when Larry Cohen, DVM first opened its doors and found his dream home in Durango, Colorado. Dr. Cohen was an esteemed practicing veterinary surgeon, physician and competitive gunslinger for many years. When Dr. Cohen passed away in August of 2010, the practice was purchased by Brian Marshall DVM, MS who still owns and manages it to this day.
The clinic has grown and moved from its original location by Baker’s Bridge to our larger facility in Hermosa in 2017 where Appaloosa Trading once stood. The leatherworking barn is still a useful part of the old property.
Over the years, the clinic has hired dedicated receptionists who have fallen in love with vet med and continued on to become technicians and even doctors. We pride ourselves on our family feel, both among staff members and our many fabulous clients.
